Batshuayi is now on loan at Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund and was stretchered off in a 2-0 defeat to Schalke on Sunday.

Schalke were victorious in Sunday's Bundesliga Revierderby at the Veltins-Arena, with the hosts winning 2-0.

The last time these two rivals met, Dortmund, playing at the Westfalenstadion, blew a four goal lead, allowing Schalke to earn a point.

With four games to play, qualification for next season's Champions League is by no means a given, and Reus revealed that only the end goal - qualifying for the competition - and not the means is what counts now.

"It's something special. A derby win at this point in the season is a highlight", Schalke sporting director Christian Heidel said.

Always a fiercely contested derby, there was even more at stake than usual in Sunday's game, with just one point separating second-placed Schalke from third-placed Dortmund before kickoff.

The loss for Dortmund sees them drop to fourth place on the table.

Ralf Fahrmann was called into action for the first time on 24 minutes with a fine save to keep out Marco Reus' swerving free-kick, before Thilo Kehrer missed a good chance at the other end soon after when he failed to test Burki with a free header.

The local Ruhr Nachrichten newspaper reported the Belgian striker, who is on loan from Chelsea, is suspected to have suffered a lower-leg fracture.
