Your 13-inch MacBook Pro (non Touch Bar) will be examined before the service to check if its qualified and in working order. To check the eligibility of your MacBook Pro, you can enter the device serial number on Apple support page followed by the submit button.
The company says that a limited number of these MacBook Pro models, units feature a component, that can fail and in reaction can cause the built-in battery to expand. It is not a safety issue, the company added.
The customers who have already paid for the battery replacement will be eligible for a refund, Apple said.
In a bid to compensate for some manufacturing defects, Apple has rolled out a battery replacement programme for its "non-Touch Bar 13-inch MacBook Pro" devices. Company gross margins represents its total sales revenue minus its cost of goods sold (COGS), divided by the total sales revenue earned by the company, expressed as a percentage. To find your MacBook's serial number, click on the Apple logo in the Menu Bar and select "About this Mac", scroll to the bottom of the information window to get the serial number. Apple walks you through the replacement process here. Apple states that the servicing may take up to 3-5 business days to offer the battery replacement to the affected models. Apple will cover machines under this program for the first five years after the retail sale of the unit. This program doesn't extend the standard warranty coverage of the notebook.
