Rousey Set For Major Match!

According to WWE.com, Jax shockingly named Rousey as her next challenger at the NBCUniversal upfronts in New York City's Radio City Music Hall.

"We are very civil and professional ladies, so Nia did just challenge me for Money in the Bank to come after her title", she said, per Samantha Schnurr of E! She participated in her first match at WrestleMania 34 on April 8, teaming with Kurt Angle to defeat Stephanie McMahon and Triple H in a mixed tag team match.

What are your thoughts on WWE putting Rousey in a match against Jax at the MITB PPV?

However, the Irresistible Force stayed adamant to his words and a surprised Ronda accepted the challenge which made the battle between the tow official for the upcoming WWE pay-per-view, the Money in the Bank, on June 17. In that interview, Rousey said Jax was the one to challenge her.

As for Nia Jax, she won the RAW Women's Championship in a dominant performance at WrestleMania against Alexa Bliss. "Let's see how Rowdy @RondaRousey can get", Jax wrote.

Announcing Rousey's first title match has a chance to steal a little buzz and sell some tickets and WWE Network subscriptions after a Backlash was not well received.

Powell's POV: I guess this also means that Rousey and Jax won't be appearing in person at today's Raw television taping in London. She added, "We're professionals, so when we get in there, there's a job to be done", Rousey added. "All bets are off, right?"

Rousey earned a large amount of praise for her performance at WrestleMania, in which she traded blows with both McMahon and her husband in a match many selected as the best of the night. "When we're outside of the ring, then we can still be respectful to each other". Why would WWE not favor a slower build of Rousey's career that would have given her time to grow as a performer and a character?

That particular storyline can be continued with some run-ins and/or disqualifications when Rousey faces Jax, who is now being pushed as an anti-bullying babyface.

There has been talk WWE would like to get Money in the Bank considered on par with their Big 4 pay-per-views. She's one of a kind, so there definitely has to be an alternation to my regimen and I'm looking forward to it.
