RAGE 2 Gameplay Goes Big and Loud, Release Date Set for 2019

And yesterday the official Rage Twitter account tweeted: "C:DesktopVideosAnnounceTrailerMonday". The game received praise for its graphics and gameplay at the time, but was knocked for issues over the story, characters, lack of things to do in the game world, and a poor autosave system for checkpoints. Now, we finally have something concrete. There's no release date yet instead there is a release window of 2019, so it might be sometime before we get to play the game.

The first trailer features a much more colorful aesthetic compared to the original Rage.

Which platforms will Rage 2 be released on? The latter is obviously known for its FPS prowess with the likes of Doom, while Avalanche Studios is the king of open world mayhem, as you'll likely know from Mad Max and Just Cause 3. According to the press release, id Software will be handling the FPS gameplay and Avalanche the open world exploration - which seems a flawless mix to us. If Bethesda are anything to go by, we could see Rage 2 as early as this year. In case you were wondering if that means loot boxes, the answer is no.

Vehicle combat will play a role in the game, and you can expect it to be just as fun as the vehicular combat in Mad Max.

The game, which Bethesda describes as an "open-world shooterverse", takes place in a post-apocalyptic world that has been devastated by an asteroid. That's where Walker's wealth of unique guns and gear comes in - and he'll need every one of his powerful weapons to defend the wild wasteland he calls home. Players assume the role of Walker, the last Ranger of the dystopian wasteland left behind and the only threat to the Authority's power. As expected, RAGE 2 will have some sort of storyline apart from the following, however, no further information has been revealed.

Even though the Rage 2 teaser trailer was officially released, the leaks for Rage 2 haven't stopped.

As promised in the video, RAGE 2 will include a vast Open World in which there's no law.

Looking at the brief gameplay trailer, you can already see the game forming.

A Ranger's arsenal isn't limited to the abundance of upgradeable weapons and toys at their disposal.

The Nanotrite abilities can be used as attacks or to boost other abilities.
