Man City in 'Advanced Talks' With Napoli Over Transfer Valuation for Jorginho

A report from Calcio Napoli 24 on Wednesday claimed City have agreed a deal with the 26-year-old that could cost the club as much as €50 million (£44m/$58m).

The Italian global has an offer from the Premier League champions, and his agent admitted earlier today it would be very hard to turn down.

Keeping up the Jorginho topic, another one of his suitors, Manchester City, are being subject to Napoli playing hardball against them over the pass-master.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola wants the Premier League champions to wrap up the signing of Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City in time for their preseason tour of USA. The Algerian will cost around £60m while the Italian's fee anticipated to be £42m.

The Premier League champions have been keeping close tabs on the Italy global, who was born in Brazil but accepted a call-up to the Azzurri in 2016.

Jorginho's agent Joao Santos said: "Jorginho is still under contract but if Napoli finds an agreement with City, the player will go to Manchester".

The Foxes have been in talks with Man City in regards to Mahrez since January, when they rejected an offer of £50m plus winger Patrick Roberts, who the Citizens valued at £15m.

Mahrez is not going to the World Cup after Algeria failed to qualify through their group, ensuring he will complete a full preseason this summer.
