Marcelo Predicts Neymar Switch, Says Cristiano Ronaldo 'Doesn't Own Real Madrid'

Ronaldo will now look for a new club with England, France and Italy named as potential destinations. The 33-year-old is certainly not considering a move to Major League Soccer (MLS), China, Japan or the Middle East at this point of his career.

Ronaldo has scored an incredible 450 goals in just 438 games for Los Blancos and helped them win a fourth Champions League in the last five years with victory over Liverpool last month. "In the coming days you will have my answer to the fans, the ones who have really been on my side", he said.

Record claims that the five-time Ballon d'Or victor has reached this conclusion, less than two weeks after winning his third straight Champions League with Madrid, not because of money but rather status, and because of unkept promises from Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

Spanish daily AS reports that Ronaldo's agent, Jorge mendes, will meet with the Madrid hierarchy again on Thursday.

The Portuguese hinted that he is unhappy at the club, with later reports speculating that this is because he has not received the bumper deal at Real he was reportedly promised during the past campaign. However, Ronaldo is believed to seek sums equal to the salaries of Barcelona's Argentinian forward Lionel Messi (40 million euros) and Paris Saint Germain's Brazilian striker Neymar (81.5 million euros).

Cristiano Ronaldo's lawyers are close to agreeing a settlement with Spain's inland revenue over charges of tax evasion, according to a report in the Spanish media on Friday evening.

While Bale is the younger of the two, there is an emotional reason why United may want to do everything to get Cristiano Ronaldo back to the club for one more stint. If Cristiano stays, does that mean that Neymar can't come?

The Welshman has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford after admitting after the Champions League final that he will "seriously consider" his future at the Bernabeu.
