'Wedding Crashers' star Vince Vaughn arrested at DUI stop


Actor Vince Vaughn was arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to authorities.

Vaughn was reportedly charged with a DWI and resisting arrest, while the passenger in his vehicle was also arrested and charged with public intoxication. His passenger was also arrested and charged with resisting, delaying or obstructing officers.

The police department confirmed that Vaughn, 48, who starred in last year's "Brawl in Cell Block 99", was in their custody. CNN reports that Vaughn was stopped in Hermosa Beach outside of Los Angeles.

The actor was placed in jail around 4:00am local time and both men were later released after posting bail of $5,000 United States dollars.

Vince Vaughn has since released from jail.

If charged, this would be Vaughn's first DUI offense.

Zins said he couldn't comment more on the arrest until prosecutors review the case and decide whether to file charges. One night, he was at a bar with actor Steve Buscemi and screenwriter Scott Rosenberg. He will also star alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in the 2019 WWE biopic Fighting With My Family.

Some of Vaughn's better-known films include Swingers, Wedding Crashers, Dodgeball, Anchorman, Starsky & Hutch, Be Cool, The Break-Up, the second season of True Detective and Hacksaw Ridge.
