Entertainment Weekly has uploaded yet another batch of exclusive images for Aquaman - and they help prove true director James Wan's past statements about the film being a "swashbuckling action-adventure" flick akin to an underwater Star Wars series installment.

With Aquaman hitting theaters this December, fans were starting to wonder why there hadn't been a big teaser release or even the release of a few images.

And here is our first look at an infamous Aquaman villain, Black Manta, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

We also see Arthur and Mera (Heard) hanging out on land, rocking some pretty great, casual beach chic outfits. The stills introduce Nicole Kidman has Queen Atlanna, bring back a more buff Jason Momoa as Aquaman and the stunning Amber Heard as Mera.

Warner Bros. has announced the release date for the official Aquaman trailer, confirming it will drop during the film's panel presentation (likely in Hall H) at Comic-Con International in San Diego.

Recently, the villainous Black Manta character was revealed to the public, shedding some light on what he'll look like and what his role in the upcoming film will be.

They're likely meeting about Orm's plot to unite the seven kingdoms against the surface world that, quite frankly, treats the ocean like garbage.

Another new Aquaman photo has arrived online (via EW) revealing a face-off between King Orm (Patrick Wilson) and King Nereus (Dolph Lundgren) in the underwater world. And Wan, of course, is directing.

"Black Manta is a really interesting character who is somehow factored into this story, but our main story is about Jason and Patrick", says Wan in Entertainment Weekly.
