Once he is finally appointed as Chelsea manager, which could be as quickly as this week, reports in the Telegraph claim that he could launch a raid on Napoli as he looks to rebuild the Blues squad that missed out on Champions League qualification last season after finishing fifth.
And the 27-year-old defender, Koulibaly, believes that Chelsea will be able to enjoy some excellent football under Sarri who made Napoli one of the most attractive sides in Serie A last season.
Both men will cost Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich. Sarri is already said to be considering new acquisitions.
Giovanni Martusciello - who he worked with at Empoli - will be lured away from Inter Milan whilst former Chelsea favourite Gianfranco Zola, whose managerial career has not been a success, will also be part of the coaching staff.
