Two Elderly Men Escape Nursing Home, Go to Metal Festival

Two elderly men who were reported missing from their nursing home had apparently sneaked out of the facility to rock out a heavy metal music festival in Germany.

If that isn't goals we're not sure what is.

The Metro reported that the ageing metal heads were reluctant to leave the party so police had to send them home in a taxi, escorted by a police auto.

Well, that appears to be the case in Germany, where two elderly men were found at a metal festival after having escaped their nursing home.

The metal-loving men were eventually found by police at the festival at 3am.

"However, the two seemed disoriented and apathetic".

"They obviously liked the metal festival", police spokeswoman Merle Neufeld told Norddeutscher Rundfunk.

Sure, it wasn't the outcome they were hoping for, but getting a police escort back to a nursing home is pretty badarse.

According to Deutsche Welle, the world-renowned festival sold out with an expected attendance of 75,000 people.

The festival, which ran from August 1 to 4, is a must attend for all die-hard heavy metal fans like these two old fogies.

Famous for its muddy grounds, headliners including Judas Priest, Dimmu Borgir, Nightwish and In Flames as well as Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Gojira and Children of Bodom were included in this year's programme.
