Yerry Mina says he is determined "to fight for something" at Everton after completing a £27 million ($35m) move from Barcelona.

Brazilian winger Bernard has revealed the key role Everton boss Marco Silva played in convincing him to move to Goodison Park despite offers from Chelsea, West Ham and AC Milan.

"Bernard is a great player, a player for the Brazilian national team, and I also followed his progress with Atletico Mineiro", Richarlison said on Wednesday.

'Marco's words helped me a lot because having a coach who believes in his ideas is important.

Many players ticketed for new locales stayed put past Thursday's Premier League summer transfer deadline.

Everton begin their Premier League campaign away to Wolves at Molineux on August 11 before they host Southampton on Merseyside a week later on August 18.

Yerry Mina and André Gomes posed together in Everton shirts after arriving in Liverpool. The club reserves the right to buy back the player.

Birmingham City have confirmed on their official website that they have signed Gary Gardner on a season-long loan from rivals Aston Villa.

Everton had a dramatic end to the window, wrapping up deals for Bernard - the Brazil worldwide who arrived on a free from Shakthar Donetsk - and Andre Gomes, the Portuguese midfielder who had also been at Barcelona. Everton agreed a €2.25m (£2.02m) loan fee for the 25-year-old, who now has a minor injury but passed a medical held in Barcelona, and will pay his wages in full for the season.
