Aaron Rodgers: Green Bay Packers legend reveals worry following injury

Rodgers injured the knee during the second quarter of Green Bay's 24-23 win over the Bears in Week 1, a game where he engineered a 20-point comeback in the second half. Instead he worked with players rehabbing, which also included receiver Davante Adams. Rodgers, however, plays arguably the most premier position on the roster and is a rather significant cornerstone to overall success.

He told Sirius XM NFL Radio: "You know, with Aaron, it's one of those things where you go: 'Just when I think I've seen it all, ' and 'the guy can't get any better'".

McCarthy said he is encouraged that Rodgers will be with the rehabilitation group, but stopped short of saying the team's franchise quarterback would be able to practice the rest of the week.

"Haven't even thought about that", Rodgers said.

"Obviously there's the hope of playing", McCarthy said, via the team's website. "We'll see what tomorrow brings". "We'll give him the whole week to get ready".

Rodgers guaranteed he wouldn't miss any time, but the Packers are keen on being cautious with the injury.

It's in a similar fashion to the calf injury Rodgers had down the stretch of the 2014 season.

There hasn't been any evident discussion on Rodgers wearing a brace, but he said that there are certainly options available and that they'll make a decision on that later in the week.

"Yeah", Zimmer said on a conference call with Green Bay media, "he walks on water, so I'm pretty sure he's gonna play".
