Justin Bieber, Hailey Baldwin get married in New York City

Before Hailey and Justin hooked up for the second time after years of on-and-off dating, Bieber was back with Selena Gomez, but they ultimately called it off after just a few weeks.

The news was originally reported by TMZ, who spotted the couple walking into New York City's Marriage Bureau on Thursday (Sept. 13) to allegedly get a marriage license.

But now Hailey insists the fuss was all about nothing, taking to Twitter on Friday to address the rumours about her under-the-radar wedding day.

The famous pair were reportedly given VIP treatment, with witnesses telling the entertainment site Bieber was seen crying.

There were conflicting reports about whether the "Sorry" singer and the model legally Wednesday and it looked as if they did - especially after Bieber's mother, Pattie Mallette, seemingly offered up her congratulations on Twitter. A source who sat down earlier explained, "Justin and Hailey just chose to do it without any kind of warning". Rest assured. According to People, Bieber and Baldwin plan on having a "religious" ceremony and celebration with their friends and family soon after their court wedding. "I see no reason to wait".

"I just picture lights strung everywhere", Baldwin said of the wedding. So at least Hailey Baldwin's age means that she's clear of the riskiest age group.

"I don't think it's affected me really".

Obviously, this is all speculation, and it's impossible to tell at this point whether they've actually said "I Do". And maybe Justin's little sister as a flower girl.

A rep for Stephen Baldwin, Hailey's father, had no comment.

As for rumors the couple rushed to get married because she's expecting, they aren't true. "When you know it's right, it's right", she explained.
