His daughter Barbara got married October 7 to the love of her life, screenwriter Craig Coyne. Only 20 members of Barbara's family witnessed her simple yet romantic ceremony, according to PEOPLE, but the guest list contained some major political icons.

The bride is the daughter of former President George W. Bush and the granddaughter of former President George H.W. Bush.

Laura carried a bouquet and of white blooms with tons of greenery and wore her hair down in ideal soft waves.

Dorothy Bush Koch, the bride's aunt, officiated the wedding.

Former first daughter Barbara Bush tied the knot on Sunday in Kennebunkport, Maine. "I'm so proud to be this beauties sister". She told People that her "something borrowed" was a bracelet her grandfather gave her grandmother, late former first lady Barbara Bush, on their 70th anniversary. The bride wore an ivory silk crepe gown by Vera Wang, according to a statement from the office of George W. Bush.

Barbara's twin sister, Jenna, served as matron of honor.

In another photo, Bush Hager held onto her sister in a loving embrace. Coyne appeared in 2005's hit "Jarhead", and has since shown up in a string of indie projects, including "Look at Me" and "The Snowtown Murders".

"We've been excited to do such a small wedding with just our family", Barbara Bush told People.

The newlyweds will live in NY, according to the AP. "And we've been long-distance for most of it - he's been in LA and I've been in NY - but we've gotten to spend a lot of time together". To make this romance even more heartwarming, Craig proposed to Barbara at the same spot in Kennebunkport when her grandparents got engaged 75 years earlier.
