Gomez "has dealt with depression for a while", "Entertainment Tonight" reported, citing an unnamed source.

The 26-year-old singer "voluntarily" entered treatment after suffering some sort of mental health crisis while hospitalized for a low white blood cell count.

The singer's troubles reportedly began with an incident during the last week of September.

Sources tell TMZ that during the last week of September, Gomez was driven to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after she became emotional and despondent because of her white blood cell count.

They also said that she "freaked out" and attempted to pry IVs from her arms, and some insiders called what happened an 'emotional breakdown'. E! has learned she suffered a panic attack after her second hospitalization, although this was not the sole catalyst for her seeking mental health treatment at a facility again. "She realized she needed to seek additional help for her ongoing emotional issues", People adds.

Fans of the star took to social media on Thursday to show their support and pray for her. She is now a mental health facility for treatment.

"Kidness and encouragement only for a bit!"

"Just remember- negative comments can hurt anybody's feelings".

"Taking a social media break".

Pop star Selena Gomez has reportedly entered a mental health facility according to USA reports.

Selena also underwent major surgery previous year, in which she received a kidney transplant from her best friend.

Following last night's news that Selena checked into an LA facility, a dishevelled Justin Bieber was spotted pulling up to church alone, dressed down in a hoodie, greeting a friend at the door.
