Disney released the poster for their live-action Aladdin movie teasing a first look trailer will be release tomorrow.

Will Smith, who will play Genie, shared the poster on his Instagram on October 10. "Can't wait for ya'all to see me blue!"

Will Aladdin work as a live-action movie?

The live-action Aladdin, directed by Guy Ritchie, also stars Marwan Kenzari, Navid Negahban, Nasim Pedrad, Billy Magnussen, and Numan Acar.

Will Smith has given Disney fans a reason to get excited tonight. Aladdin, played by Mena Massoud, goes into the Cave of Wonders and discovers the Genie's lamp. The late Robin Williams voiced the legendary Genie character in one of his most memorable roles. Remaking a Disney film is certainly a big shift in tone and story content than even his most accessible films like Sherlock Holmes but Disney seems to have enough trust in the director to hand him one of the studio's most beloved '90s animated films. If you were expecting an irreverent Guy Ritchie spin on the material, that's unlikely to happen. The producer is Dan Lin (The LEGO Movie) with Golden Globe victor Marc Platt (La La Land), Jonathan Eirich (Death Note) and Kevin De La Noy (The Dark Knight Rises) serving as executive producers. Tim Burton's Dumbo and Jon Favreau's The Lion Kingset to hit theaters in 2019, and Maleficent 2 will arrive in 2020.
