LeBron James didn't take long to make an impression as a Los Angeles Laker.

After five years of rebuilding through the NBA Draft, the Lakers changed the landscape when they signed James to a four-year, $154 million contract.

PORTLAND, Ore. - LeBron James' debut with his new club began with two monstrous tomahawk dunks in the span of 19 seconds. The Lakers also showed flashes of promise, especially with their pace, as they outscored Portland 34-12 in fastbreak points.

"I don't think you could ever have LeBron James and not try to win now", he said of the former Cleveland Cavalier and Miami Heat forward, who has appeared in eight successive NBA Finals.

"I liked our fight to get back into the game when we were down double digits, I liked the way we competed at times, I liked the way we shared the ball as well", James said. Before the game, a horde of camera operators and reporters recorded James' every step off the team bus, all the way to his locker stall. [Rajon] Rondo had a couple where he drove baseline and JaVale [McGee] thought it was going to him, it was going to me, he knocked the ball out of bounds. Then the winning streaks came and they went on to the Finals as well.

Second year guard Lonzo Ball echoed James's sentiments.

Ingram will be starting his third season with the Lakers and where expectations are at the highest of his tenure with the team, primarily due to the addition of LeBron James.

With this loss LeBron James has now gone 0-4 playing the first game for his new teams...but in the National Basketball Association this will not be an easy hill to climb according to LeBron via ESPN.com. "It's not that fast", James said. "Our theme is to truly believe in the idea that it's just us, just us that are in here working, just us that are getting better".
