Incineroar Makes Its Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Debut

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will come to the Nintendo Switch on December 7, 2018.

These selections aren't particularly surprising-they were expected before the whole Grinch debacle-but they are a welcome finale to the 74 fighter lineup.

Hailing from the #StreetFighter series, Ryu's rival, Ken, joins Super #SmashBros Ultimate as an Echo Fighter!

Sakurai also revealed the plan for the game's downloadable content. Nintendo is developing five sets containing a fighter, a stage and several music tracks at $6 each, and you'll be able to buy a Fighters Pass (essentially a season pass) to get all five for $25. These characters will be created from scratch exclusively for SSBU.

New fighters were announced today for Super Smash Bros.

And fans have been going on through social media about how this lovable hero has become an unstoppable force, the true savior of the Smash Bros. world. Each character pack will include one character, stage, and song for US$5.99. It's up to Kirby, the only survivor, to start the road to recovery in a brand new adventure mode; World of Light. An example of fighting against these is Fire Emblem's Owain being shown as a Spirit, which gives increased power to melee weapons, but also makes the enemy taunt a lot, like the character's personality.

It all seems extremely complicated, although as ever Smash Bros. offers every conceivable option to turn off features you're not interested in. The company claims it's "a way for players to enjoy a massive amount of additional video game characters outside of selecting them as playable fighters".

Super #SmashBros Ultimate includes 59 Assist Trophies, such as Spring Man from #ARMS, #SuperMario's Thwomp and #StreetFighter's Guile!

Least Isaac is an assist trophy so Golden Sun is getting some kind of love.

The first of the DLC roster additions is the Piranha Plant, who will be free shortly after launch.
