Alec Baldwin arrested after argument over parking spot

Baldwin was in police custody Friday afternoon after the incident. "It's like a scene from 'Goodfellas'".

The "Hunt for Red October" star was trying to park in a spot when his alleged victim jumped into the spot at about 1:30 p.m., sources with knowledge of the case said.

Bushwick Patch writes that Baldwin punched a man over a parking spot.

"What do you think you're doing!" A witness told TMZ that Alec said, "F*ck off" during the scuffle.

"Alec was yelling 'Shut the f-k up!'" the hardhat added.

Parking tickets were spotted on both cars after the dust-up, though neither driver was around to see the fallout. In 2014, he was arrested for disorderly conduct after allegedly riding his bike the wrong way up Fifth Avenue.

U.S. actor Alec Baldwin has been arrested in New York City, accused of punching a man in a fight over a parking spot. He is expected to be charged with assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor crime carrying a maximum punishment of one year in jail. Saturday Night Live is tomorrow night, so we're not sure if that will cause any issues with the newest episode, though there wasn't necessarily any Trump skits planned.

U.S. President Donald Trump commented on Baldwin's arrest Friday, telling reporters: "I wish him luck".
