There is no response to the rumours from the star.

Safe to say, this woman is one strong and awesome idol to many - but she keeps churning out the songs because, hey, we all deal with things differently and her creative outlet is hers to use however she wishes.

Too Close was a bonus track on the Japanese version of My Everything.

She dressed in a sort of pop-star permutation of a wedding dress, and she and her two backup singers did a heavily choreographed routine that, from what I understand, was based on the 1996 movie The First Wives Club, even though Grande has never been anyone's wife.

The music industry is honouring Ariana Grande.

It was then removed, which appears to suggest that Ariana maybe wasn't linked to the release at all.

Grande's choice of reference (including wearing outfits similar to those worn by the aforementioned actresses in the film) is apt, given that the lyrical content of the new single sees her thanking her exes - namely Big Sean, Ricky Alvarez, Pete Davidson, and the late Mac Miller - for teaching her lessons about life and love.

The song got particularly emotional for Grande during a verse about her parents.

"Even nearly got married/And for Pete I'm so thankful/Wish I could say thank you to Malcolm/Cause he was an angel".

Grande has previously stated that "thank u, next" serves as the lead single to her upcoming fifth studio album of the same name, which she recorded in full following the release of her fourth full-length LP Sweetener earlier this year.
