Queen Elizabeth has invited Meghan Markle's mother to spend the holiday with the royal family at Sandringham, according to The Daily Mail.

Royal reporters who have followed Meghan's two-year journey from Harry's girlfriend to fully minted royal member say the Queen was immediately taken with her and believes she is a wonderful match for Harry. It's expected that Doria will receive an invitation to attend church with the royal family at Sandringham, the royal estate in Norfolk, England, where the royal family traditionally celebrates the holiday.

A source adds, "It's a mark of the Queen's respect for Meghan and an acknowledgment that she doesn't have any other relations in this country - unlike Kate, who has the support of a very close family". The same could be said of Kate, who scored one of the first introductions with the woman that left Harry so enraptured that pals began whispering about an upcoming wedding well before they crossed the one-year threshold.

Last year, Elizabeth made a historic exception by inviting Markle, and now she is breaking royal tradition again for Markle's mother. The palace announced Meghan was pregnant on the first day of the couple's visit to Australia, but the duchess didn't let the hectic schedule phase her, and only missed two official engagements during the 16-day tour.

"It's a mark of the Queen's respect for Meghan and an acknowledgment that she doesn't have any other relations in this country - unlike Kate who has the support of a very close family", a source tells the United Kingdom outlet.

While Kate's familu have joined the royal for mass on Christmas morning, they have stayed at Anmer Hall.
