George H.W. Bush's service dog, Sully, is honored: 'Mission complete'

The yellow Labrador, who served the late president until his death on Friday, walked into the Rotunda on a leash with Americans in wheelchairs who have benefited from the Americans with Disabilities Act that Bush signed.

"I just think that it's pretty common for president H.W.to rise above a lot of that", that person said. "I think he's doing this because he feels he has to do it and I'm also assuming General Kelly has had a big hand in it". "My opinion of him went up seeing how he conducted himself as a statesman afterward".

The Bush family has assured Trump that eulogies at Wednesday's funeral will avoid any criticism of him, The Washington Post reported.

And the Trumps visited members of the Bush family at the Blair House presidential guesthouse, where they are staying.

Gov. Larry Hogan announced Monday that Maryland state government agencies and offices will be closed Wednesday in honor of former President George H.W. Bush's "lifetime of service and unwavering dedication to our country".

30, will be honored Wednesday at a state funeral at Washington National Cathedral in the nation's capital, beginning at 11 a.m. Trump saluted the casket.

Bush died on November 30 at the age of 94. They waited in line nonetheless. "And anybody who does that job deserves some respect".

"The shared loss reveals who we really are", he said, adding that a minority of people are still using Bush's death to divide others: "God help those [people]". "But he was also just a good man", Mr. Pence said. "He seemed like a honest and decent man and you couldn't argue with his qualifications".

After accompanying Bush's casket to the U.S. Capitol, the dog was led by America's VetDogs manager Valerie Cramer to pay his respects while wearing an American flag vest emblazoned with his name.

"(Sully) will be working alongside fellow VetDogs facility dogs SGT Dillon and SGT Truman who are there to assist with physical and occupational therapy to wounded soldiers and active duty personnel during their journey to recovery at Walter Reed Bethesda, " the organization wrote on Facebook. Once steadied, Dole saluted. The late President Bush called Trump a "blowhard".

"Resolute through war, President Bush was magnanimous in peace", Mr. Trump said.

Joining George W. Bush as eulogists Wednesday: Alan Simpson, the former senator and acerbic wit from Wyoming, Brian Mulroney, the former Canadian prime minister who also gave a eulogy for Reagan; and presidential historian Jon Meacham.

Bush's body was flown to Washington, D.C., on Monday. "His legacy is grace perfected".

On Saturday, he reflected on their relationship, telling CNN's Ana Cabrera that his passing was an end of an era, as Bush was the last World War II veteran to serve as president.
