The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has announced that Sandra Oh, star of the critically acclaimed BBC America drama series Killing Eve and Andy Samberg, star of NBC's Golden Globe-winning comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine, will co-host the 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards.

The Golden Globes, chosen by members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, are the first major ceremony in Hollywood's awards season culminating with the Oscars on 24 February.

What do you think of Oh and Sambergas Golden Globes hosts? Samberg, meanwhile, is a two-time Golden Globe victor for his work on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, taking home statuettes in both the acting and producing categories.

The duo won praise for their chemistry when they were presenting at the Emmy Awards for television in September.

While Seth Meyers hosted the 2018 ceremony, an emcee has yet to be announced for the upcoming telecast.

"Sandra and Andy are the ideal choices to host this world-class event", said Paul Telegdy and George Cheeks, Co-Chairmen, NBC Entertainment.

Samberg, a former writer and player on Saturday Night Live, is a two-time Golden Globe victor, one for performance by an actor and one as a producer on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which won for best television series, musical or comedy.

The Golden Globes had aired without a host for decades until NBC in 2010 tapped Ricky Gervais for the job.

For his work on "SNL", Samberg earned an Emmy Award and six additional nominations.
