Today, showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss appeared alongside Maisie Williams and John Bradley at São Paulo Expo in Brazil, an offshoot of San Diego Comic-Con. A short, under 40 second teaser, gives a feel of what to expect-the clash of ice and fire in the final season of the show.

The series is based on novels by George RR Martin in a series called A Song of Ice and Fire. HBO has given the much-awaited look for season 8 where the fans were waiting for a long time.

Earlier in the week Vladimir Furdik, the actor who plays the Night King, dished details about the show's sure-to-be epic final battle to the Hungarian website Sorozat Wiki.

It shows a dragon and direwolf become overtaken by ice while a lion gets consumed by fire.

The eighth season will air on M-Net (DStv 101) in April 2019.

In the clip the painted table at Dragonstone - a large carved wooden map of Westeros - is being engulfed by fire and ice.

"In the third part of the last season, there is a battle that the creators intend to be the biggest in television history", he said.

Another fun factoid: The scripts also reveal at one point there was a plan for the White Walkers to communicate in a special language. The network has not released an official premiere date yet for season eight.
