Ramsey set to cash in with Juventus move, reports claim

Arsenal legend Martin Keown has hit out at his old club after the news that Aaron Ramsey is set to join Juventus this summer.

The Welshman has spent the last decade at Arsenal, however, discussions over a new deal broke down earlier this season and, with his contract expiring this summer, he has reached an agreement for a move to Turin. He will be fondly remembered by Arsenal fans, most of whom wish he wasn't going.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey will undergo Juventus medical examination on January 13, 90min reported.

Ramsey will make around $180,000 per week with the Italian club, making him the second highest earner at the club behind Ronaldo, but ahead of Paulo Dybala and Douglas Costa.

But BBC Sport say Ramsey has not decided where he will play yet even though Juventus is his "current preference".

It is why a move to Juventus has appealed to him so much, with Massimiliano Allegri generally using a three-man midfield which will allow Ramsey to play the role he craves.

'And I was very happy with him in the last match. Arsenal will regret seeing a player in the prime of his career leave under these circumstances. He asked in Blackpool to play, he said: "Coach, I want to play".

But Emery does not use a number eight, with Ramsey restricted to play a deeper, more disciplined role without the license to roam - or as a No.10, which he is not suited to.

"His future is individually for him, for his family, his agent".

Ramsey has made over 350 appearances for Arsenal since signing from Cardiff in 2008.

"I want his behaviour and his focus to be on West Ham on Saturday".
