Denis Suarez agrees personal terms with Gunners

Emery confirmed in a pre-match press conference on Thursday that Arsenal will not be making any permanent signings during the January transfer window , but admitted that loan signings are possible.

Suarez has struggled for regular playing time at Barcelona this season and is expected to move in the ongoing transfer window.

Though he is keen to bolster his squad but Arsenal being short on money can only afford transfer at loans.

Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles says the club are finally travelling in the right direction under Unai Emery.

According to Goal, Suarez has been "convinced" by Emery, who was in charge at Sevilla when the player enjoyed a successful loan spell there during the 2014/15 season.

"I asked at Blackpool if he was OK to help us play and he said: "Yeah, coach, I want to play" and he played with a very big behaviour and commitment to us".

Arsenal are fifth in the Premier League, three points outside the top four, as they seek a Champions League return in Emery's first season in charge.

The Gunners have won their last two games in all competitions, and will look to make it three wins in as many games when they travel to the London Stadium to take on West Ham on Saturday.

Another of Emery's former players, Sevilla's Ever Banega, has also been linked with a move to the Emirates. "We can only sign players later on. His future I respect a lot because he has a very private decision but he is with us every day, and I repeat that I am very happy with him".

'Little by little Koscielny is feeling better and he can play consistently in the next matches, but I think he is getting better. "My last conversation with him is very important", Emery said.
