Usher and Rich the Kid were the targets of an armed robbery in West Hollywood on Tuesday afternoon, according to TMZ.

TMZ reports that the rapper Rich the Kid was the intended subject of the attempted robbery. Multiple entourage members were also reportedly attacked, and at least one bodyguard was badly pistol whipped.

Authorities say when deputies arrived, they found three black male victims who told investigators three black men confronted them in a nearby alley and demanded their money and jewelry before being assaulted.

Two masked men reportedly entered the resident and demanded cash and jewelry from Rich and Tori Brixx, who is now pregnant with his child.

The incident comes less than a year after Rich the Kid was hospitalized after he was attacked and robbed at gunpoint inside his girlfriend's home in Los Angeles. No one was shot or taken to the hospital.

A photo posted on Rich the Kid's Instagram account shows him earlier today walking with a pile of cash on his shoulder. The West Hollywood Sheriff's Station watch commander said it was in the 7100 block of Santa Monica Boulevard and that there were reports shots were fired.

'For motivational purposes only, ' Rich wrote in the caption.

Westlake Recording Studio has attracted major names from the music industry for decades, including Madonna, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and Michael Jackson.
