Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill is involved in a police investigation. Her name is listed on both police reports. The football player isn't the only person listed by the cops, as Hill's fiancee Crystal Espinal figures in conversation as well (under the heading "others involved").
A police report obtained by The Star regarding the alleged battery named a juvenile as the victim.
This isn't the first time that Hill has been under investigation for assault.
As of Friday afternoon, Hill has not been arrested or charged with any crime.
Officers were previously called to that same address on March 5 to investigate a report of child abuse or neglect.
"The club is aware of the investigation involving Tyreek Hill", the Chiefs told the Star.
The Chiefs subsequently issued a statement on Friday saying that they are aware of the matter and have been cooperating with the league and local authorities.
In 2014 while at Oklahoma State, Hill reportedly punched and choked a pregnant Espinal. Hill was also ordered to complete a 52-week batterer's intervention program and an anger management course. The domestic violence conviction was dismissed and expunged from his record past year after he completed his probation requirements. He pleaded guilty to domestic abuse and received three years of probation.
"I just want everybody to understand that we have done our due diligence with regards to full vetting each one of our draft-class members", former Chiefs GM John Dorsey said after drafting Hill, per the Star.
More details are sure to come from this incident, but for Hill, this is simply the last thing he needs right now heading into what the Chiefs are hoping is a Super Bowl campaign in 2019.
