Now, the cast and crew of The Mandalorian - the first live-action Star Wars TV series - have opened up about what to expect.

"With the culmination of the Star Wars Saga arriving before the end of the year, the Star Wars: Episode IX panel is one you will definitely not want to miss!" reads the description of the panel on the Celebration site. This expands the Star Wars Universe on Disney Plus and will make it the exclusive place for fans of the series to get all of their favorite movies, shows, and other content. How does that work into all that stuff from the prequels about Boba Fett being a clone of the mercenary Jango Fett?

The series is set between "A New Hope" and "The Force Awakens", sometime after the fall of the Empire and before the rise of the First Order.

The Mandalorian, which also stars Gina Carano, Nick Nolte, Giancarlo Esposito and Werner Herzog, is slated for a November 12 release.

In addition to executive producing The Mandalorian, Favreau is also a writer, and the series showrunner is Karen Gilchrist, who executive produced The Jungle Book with him.

The Mandalorian will become available on Disney+ on Tuesday, Nov. 12, which is the same day the streaming service launches in the United States. "Some might say he is a questionable moral character, which is in line with some of our best Westerns". "He's a gunfighter, and a bounty hunter", Favreau told the crowd.

Disneyland's "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge" expansion will host the park's most complex attraction ever - and possibly at any theme park.

Cara Dune is a grizzled Rebel shock trooper acclimatising to life after the events of Return Of The Jedi, while Greef Carga is the don of a bounty hunting group.

A bunch of new characters are being added to lore, he adds, but "for those who've been fans for 40 years, there's a lot in there for you".

Disney has today revealed the specially designed Coca-Cola bottles that will be sold within Star War's Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Footage unveiled during the panel showed behind-the-scenes footage of the making of The Mandalorian.
