Weekend one of the festival continues today and tomorrow, with acts like Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, and Weezer set to perform.
The 25-year-old singer gushed about the former boy band on Instagram the next day, saying they were "the nicest human beings possible".
She ended her set with an encore of 'thank u, next'.
Later, she posted another picture with Lance Bass - with Joey Fatone photobombing. They then teamed for a rendition of NSYNC's classic "Tearin' Up My Heart", and it was a ideal dose of 2000's nostalgia.
"I've been rehearsing my whole. life for this moment!" yelled Grande, a longtime fan of the boy band.
To close out the first act of her set, Grande was joined by NSYNC (minus Timberlake) on "Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored", which contains elements of the group's "It Makes Me Ill". "We love you, Coachella".
Despite some audio issues, Minaj powered through songs "Side to Side" and "Bang Bang" with Grande. The pair segued into Bang Bang, their 2014 hit with Jessie J, although technical malfunctions marred the performance. Grande said frantically as she pointed to her earpiece. In an in memoriam section of the performance paying tribute to Mac Miller and Nipsey Hussle, and remembering Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac, Diddy said: "Give it up for my sister", he says.
At the end, Grande started walking offstage, but Diddy stopped her and encouraged the crowd to applaud the pop star.
