Mavericks investigating Kristaps Porzingis incident, believe he was hit with objects

When Porzingis was traded, the NYPD was looking into a rape accusation made by a neighbor in his NY apartment. He pushes a women away who gets in his face. After that, he is seen confronting a group of men, who could be the people that he fought in the first place.

ESPN's Tim MacMahon has since confirmed that Porzingis was not the aggressor in the situation, but once he tried to defend himself, the group fired back with inanimate objects they took from the club. It's been a rough offseason for the former Knicks 1st-rounder.

Multiple sources do not believe the motivation of the assault stemmed from his being traded from the Knicks, as a TMZ report stated.

News broke in late March that NY police were investigating Porzingis for a 2018 incident in which he allegedly raped his neighbor in Manhattan.

National Basketball Association superstar Kristaps Porzingis of the Dallas Mavericks was attacked at a Latvian nightclub on Saturday, according to multiple reports. Porzingis is recovering from a torn ACL in his left knee that he suffered on February 6, 2018. "The New York Knicks will not have any further involvement on Kristaps' behalf".

A Porzingis spokesman did not immediately respond for comment.
