The hit Adult Swim series is set to return for its fourth season in November 2019, it was announced Wednesday at the WarnerMedia upfront presentation. Created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, it catalogues the freakish misadventures of a bored scientific genius/drunkard and his socially awkward grandson, Morty.
Fans of the deliriously great show RICK AND MORTY are used to waiting long periods of time between seasons, and so far, the wait for season four will have been the longest yet. While details are scarce, we know the season will be comprised of ten never before seen episodes as part of a long-term deal the network has signed with series creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon.
By September, it will be nearly two years since there were new Rick and Morty episodes on the air. We'll keep an eye out for any Rick and Morty news that trickles out between now and November, and keep you up to date.
"Harmon is in great spirits, we have a great writer's room. It's going to be really cool".
When is Rick and Morty coming back?
This is at least more advance notice than what preceded Season 3, when the show made a surprise premiere drop on April Fool's Day 2017.
Previous seasons of Rick and Morty have premiered in the summer, but protracted negotiations over the show's renewal postponed production.
