Kevin Durant's injury during the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors put a damper on the Golden State Warriors' chance of winning the series, putting them down 3-1.

Sunday marked a pivotal moment in Durant's recovery, as it was the first time the 30-year-old forward was able to practice with his teammates.

With Durant set to return for Game 5, one has to wonder about the level of rust that he will be dealing with after being sidelined for over a month.

Durant, who has been around the Warriors and traveled with them throughout the Finals, has not addressed the media during the series and did not take questions Sunday.

The Warriors play the Raptors at 1pm tomorrow in Game 5.

Kevin Durant's condition is being scrutinized on a minute-by-minute basis and understandably so. Anything at this point is considered an improvement, as Durant has been completely out of commission after the team said he strained his right calf during the Western Conference Semifinals against the Rockets.

"You worry about the conditioning", Kerr said.

"The only thing sweeter than watching Golden State once again become world champions is doing so while enjoying a selection of Canada's finest", Pelosi said in a statement.

A Durant return would ease Curry's burden, rebalance Golden State's offense, give Kerr an isolation scoring threat to help unlock Toronto's defense, and provide a long defensive option against Leonard or Pascal Siakam. His team dug themselves into a 3-1 hole without him, and if he can lead them out of that hole and to a third straight title, it would be viewed as an all-time accomplishment.
