Raptors Seal Championship at Oracle

They have special black jerseys that have "The Town" on the front, Stephen Curry has an ad campaign at the Coliseum BART station that thanks Oakland for his 10 years there, his first decade in the National Basketball Association, and Thursday night's Game 6 featured a rally towel giveaway that pays tribute to Oakland and Kevin Durant with a design that reads "For KD".

Kawhi Leonard, No. 2 of the Toronto Raptors, celebrates his teams win victory over the Golden State Warriors in Game Six to win the 2019 NBA Finals at ORACLE Arena on June 13, 2019 in Oakland, California.

Fans back in Toronto were pictured partying and cheering in the streets after the emotional win. Three days after connecting on just eight three-pointers in Game 5, the Raptors had nine from deep by the end of the first half Thursday.

Lowry scored the Raptors' first 11 points to propel the Raptors to a quick nine-point lead. Klay started towards the locker room before turning around in the hallway, coming back out to shoot his free throws so he would have the option of returning later in the game.

"Just spoke with Klay Thompson's father, Mychal, who said there's "no question" Klay will re-sign with the Warriors". He didn't return and left the arena on crutches.

Pascal Siakam added 26 points, while Fred VanVleet had 12 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter.

When it actually ended, Leonard raised both arms high in triumph and Serge Ibaka pulled his head up through the hoop by the Golden State bench as the crowd chanted "Warriors!"

Letourneau also reports that the team is still expected to offer Thompson a five-year max deal despite him likely having to miss most - if not all - of next season.

'Thank you to everybody, you see the hat, we did it, ' he said, referring to the NBA Championship hat he was wearing, before throwing some shade at Klay Thompson. It wraps up an incredibly improbable run from the Raptors, who took a major chance in acquiring impending free agent Kawhi Leonard before the season.
