Lemina admits desire to leave Southampton amid Manchester United rumours

Lemina, who has interest from a host of clubs, is expected to move on from Southampton this summer, but the midfielder insists that he does not necessarily have to join a side in the Champions League.

A Southampton departure certainly looks to be on the cards as Lemina was left out of their pre-season tour squad and has recently admitted that he is open to an exit, which could encourage Leicester to make a move.

The Gabon worldwide has been hampered by injury problems over the past two years and has struggled to hold down a regular first team place with the defensive midfielder making just 18 Premier League starts last season.

United are preparing to bring in at least another three additions as they look to challenge for a top four finish next season.

"As early as a year ago, I had set my conditions: I wanted to go elsewhere this summer".

"If I have the opportunity to play this season, why not, but I am really trying to regain consistency, become an important player in a team with high goals".

Would you like to see Lemina play for a bigger club?

However, despite being halfway across the world, Solskjaer hasn't taken a break from the business of strengthening his squad with The Times reporting the Red Devils are after Southampton midfielder, Mario Lemina.

'I made a good impression in England, I received good feedback at a certain point, so I hope that clubs won't have a short memory'.

Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina believes working with Marcelo Bielsa made sure he was ready as a player when he moved to Juventus.

"Today, after four months of injury, I am not targeting anything in particular. I want to show the whole world what I am capable of". I would prefer to leave on good teams, loyal to what was said.
