Amazon Prime Day 2019 is just days away now, with the two-day event kicking off on Monday 15 July.
It's tough for other retailers to compete with Amazon Prime Day, and we were not impressed with eBay's attempt this year with its "Crash Day" sale, a jab at some technical issues Amazon encountered last year.
Before the deals start, we recommend doing as much as possible to prepare and make sure you don't miss out on any sales. The service costs $14.99/month (this is in addition to your Prime membership fee) and lets you shop groceries and everyday essentials straight from Amazon. To get the deal, use the discount code "PISTACHIO" at checkout. Target REDcard holders will also get an additional 5% off of everything, and there will be free, two-day shipping on all orders $35 and up (and all orders period for REDcard holders). Also, wherever you are, you might be eligible for a free 30-day trial if you've never been a Prime member. On Prime Day 2019, you can expect deals and offers on a number of popular smartphones across all major price points.
Meanwhile, Prime Day will be the third day ever outside of the holiday season to top $2 billion in e-commerce spending. Your best shot at grabbing the best deals is when the sale goes live right at midnight or early morning on July 15. Retailers that haven't honed their engagement and email strategies and lag the market won't get a Prime Day boost. If those you know have created public wishlists on their Amazon accounts, you could surprise them by grabbing a few items you know they want. Another tip is to have a plan and figure out ahead of time what you need before buying.
Prime Day 2019 will offer a good chance to grab all your favourite products at a discount.
